2008 School Fall Term
Host an Exchange Student - Now could be the time! Sharing life with a teenager from another country and culture is a rich and rewarding experience. Itt's a wonderful way to learn about different cultures. Each year, AFS gives a number of families the chance to host a High School Exchange Student for 6 months or the full school year.. AFS is the leading International High School Student Exchange Program and they are looking for families right here in the Chippewa Valley. The students arrive in August.

Summer Special Sunday Worship Schedule, 10am & 6pm
Stay "Plugged In!" - Invite your neighbor to dinner at 5pm then take them to the evening service at 6pm. Valleybrook is firing up the grill at 5pm - Hotdogs, chips, soda and ice cream for only $2-dollars. This new summer schedule will last through August. This summer Valleybrook will focus on on 1st John in a series called "Undivided."

Summer Outdoor Worship Services, Wednesday's & Sunday's, 7pm - Wed, 10:30am - Sun
Come and enjoy the amphitheater - A beautiful setting overlooking the rolling hills of the Chippewa Valley. The Wednesday services are a great contemporary and informal alternative if you might be out of town on the weekend with your family. Outdoor worship also on Sunday's during the summer. Traditional services will continue to be held as well each weekend.

Homeschoolers Meeting - If you are a homeschooler or are thinking of homeschooling then you will want to attend the first meeting of the new school year for "Families for Christian Home Education." The function of the group is to provide support in the Titus 2 model to moms who are home educating their children using a a home-based private eductional program. Membership, in this organization, is open to anyone who is interested or actively engaged in home education. Any homeschooling mom is welcome to attend this meeting without any obligation to join. Come see what we are all about!

Yesterday's Youth (Seniors Group) - If you are 55 years of age or older you are invited to attend this monthly meeting. Besides a great lunch at 12 noon you'll want to hear the Foundation Quartet from Burnsville, MN. They will be sharing a message in Southern Gospel Music.

Golf outing - Golfers come and enjoy 18 holes on course at Hillcrest Golf & Country Club along with great fellowship. This is an annual fundraiser for the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry here in the Chippewa Valley. The ministry reaches out to over 600 inmates and 90 staff on a daily basis in five county jails in the area along with the Juvenile Detention Center. Last year 525 inmates made decisions for Christ. Fischer's on the Green will be serving a breakfast at 8am. Then it's an 18 hole, four person, best ball scramble. There will be great door prizes, plus you can earn Ping Golf Equipment. All this will be capped off with lunch at Fischer's.
