Winter Coat & Blanket Drive - Sacred Heart Hospital is looking for donations to their annual coat & blanket drive. An average of 10% of Wisconsin community members live in poverty, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Though it's hard to believe, there are folks in western Wisconsin who won't have warm coats to wear this year. To respond to this chilling reality, Sacred Heart Hospital and Redeeming Grace Church are teaming up to collect winter coats and blankets now until Sep 30th.

All donations must be clean and in wearable condition.

Items needed include:
- Great need for children & infant size coats, hat, mittens, scarves & boots.
- Great need for adult coats, sizes XL, XXL XXXL
- Winter coats & snowsuits
- Adult size hats, mittens, scarves & boots.
- Heavy blankets

The drop off site at Sacred Heart Hospital is inside the hospital's Main Entrance, near the information desk.

Extravaganza - The Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley, available to professionals and students ages 21-39, will be holding their yearly Extravaganza event. The Young Professionals of Eau Claire is to address the "brain drain" situation in Wisconsin. The mission of the group is to engage and empower young professionals. The theme of this event will be Game Night. Attendees will enjoy an Italian buffet along with two rounds of a team game; there will be door prizes and awards given out.

3rd Annual Feeding Souls & Stomachs - There will be a dinner and concert. A FREE chicken dinner will be held from 4:30pm to 6:30pm followed by a concert with music and word at 7:00pm. The group Breaking Chains, a local Christian musical group will be performing. Funds raised will help support the Feed A Child Nyre You program that provides food bags each Friday to students at both Pedersen and St. Mary's elementary schools in Altoona.

Bountiful Harvest Dinner - In addition to a delicious dinner, there are a number of other activities. Michael Perry will be the guest speaker. Michael is a local author and amateur pig farmer. (see below more about Michael) The evening includes raffles and a silent auction. Dinner features foods of the land and water. There will chicken, turkey, venison, elk, pan fish and more. Michael has written several books: Population:485, Coop, Red Truck and Visiting Tom. He can also be heard on public radio's Tent Show Radio as well performs with the musical group Michael Perry and the Longbeds.

3rd Annual Jamin' Jog Fundraiser - At 10:00am the race/walk starts. The kids 1/4 mile race is at 10:45am. Coffee, hot chocolate and popcorn will be available during the events to be purchased. Crestview is a K-8 non-denominational Christian School that has been serving the Chippewa Valley since 1997. Crestview's mission is to help children reach their potential intellectually and morally. Please come join the fun and celebration of what God is doing in the lives of the children at Crestview.

Free Desert Banquet Fundraiser - The speaker Mike Peplinski is a local teacher, coach and former Olympian. The entertainment for the evening will be provided by Fifth Element out of UWEC. Young Life is all about wild and crazy ideas with a purpose. At weekly Club meetings you have a blast being with other friends. The intent of Young Life is to let young teens know about the love of Jesus Christ and how it relates to each and every person. We believe that teens deserve to know what life can hold for them. Iron Disciples - The Iron Disciples Christian Motorcyclists Assn., Eau Claire Chapter meet on the second Sunday of each month.
